One of our foam sided portable berms - a "duck pond" in the jargon of Alaska's North Slope.

Oil, fuel, and chemical spills come in all sizes and we can help you prevent them, large or small.

About Our Spill Containment Berms

  • These are a reliable and reusable means for keeping oil, hydraulic fluid, glycol, diesel, gasoline, aviation gas, and other fluids off the ground and out of the water.
  • The berms are lightweight, easy to carry around in a pickup truck or even a car trunk, and they are easy to store.
  • Suitable for extreme cold temperature applications. These products have been used to -65F.
  • The material we use is designed to resist petroleum and glycol spills. They can be cleaned and reused.

Our knock-down portable berms are a complete containment system. These versatile berms are designed for quick and easy use in the field or in the shop. They will help you meet Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) requirements for a spil-free operation.

Our liner materials are flexible, strong, and resistant to chemicals such as crude oil, diesel fuel, methanol, and glycol. The liners remain flexible even in arctic conditions and have been used in temperatures to 65°F below zero
(-54°C).

The larger berms are made with closed cell foam making a 4” high unit. The foam retains its resiliency in extreme arctic conditions. The smaller 2” berms are filled with sand. Both sizes can be compactly folded for easy handling and storage.

Accessories can be added to the berms for safety purposes. An interior friction pad called “Ruftop” can be installed for stable footing and added puncture resistance. Cleats can be added to the bottom of the liner to prevent it from sliding around on icy surfaces.

If our standard berms do not meet your exact requirements, let us build precisely what you need.

  • Decide what size area you will need to protect, or what is the potential spill distance from the source.
  • Consider whether you will want the easy roll-up portability of the 2" sand berm or the ready-to-use 4" foam berm.
