Discover
From time to time, one discovers a piece of equipment that redefines the standards of quality, durability, and functional performance. The Arctic Oven Tent is one of those rare finds. Alaska Tent & Tarp has combined proven design, superior materials, and quality craftsmanship to create a truly “no compromise”, all-season tent. Alaska Tent & Tarp has over 60 years of experience in the design and manufacture of fabric shelter.
We recognize that your tent is your home-away-from-home in the wilderness. Not only should it provide you with shelter from nature’s tantrums, it should comfort your mind and allow you to relax. So, whether you’re snowmobiling across Alaska and Canada or chasing game on Kodiak Island, rest assured that you’ll be comfortable and secure.

Structure The most critical component of any tent is its structure. We utilize rugged, thick-walled, drawn aluminum tubing and durable hub fittings for all Arctic Oven frame sets. Shock corded with sturdy, 1/4” arctic grade bungee, our self-supporting frames flex to absorb and dissipate stress while providing unyielding stability against high winds and heavy snow loads. Weatherproofness This is the sum of both design and fabric choices. All Arctic Ovens utilize double wall construction. Our full coverage flys and bathtub floors are handcrafted with heavy-duty, 4oz coated oxford nylon to fend off outside moisture, while our Vapex™ polypropylene bodies allow moisture laden interior air to escape. Bottom line – you stay dry. |

Unique
Vapex™ polypropylene fabric, made exclusively for Alaska Tent and Tarp, is a multi-ply, spunbound polypropylene composite with a huge Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR). Highly water repellent, and extremely breathable, Vapex™ is the engine behind the Arctic Oven’s condensation-free interior.
Livability
We design our tents for outdoors people who want to
enjoy, not just endure, the outdoors. Steep side walls provide ample
head and shoulder room while usable interior space is maximized with
open floor designs and convenient storage pockets and utility loops. We
use white Vapex™ bodies to create bright, sociable interiors.
Ventilation
Tents need lots of cross-ventilation to eliminate carbon monoxide buildup. Arctic Oven tents include adjustable, high and low tubular vents that provide flow-through ventilation and assist in maintaining a comfortable and healthy living space.
Setup
We know how important it is to be able to quickly pitch a tent and get inside. Arctic Oven Tents are intuitively simple and quick to set up. Even in adverse conditions, one person can handle the task. Abundant storm guyout rings and web loops provide essential anchoring points.
